I just returned to our dorm, from the food binge I had last night. The Year 2011 was full of challenges, I'm expecting the Year 2012 well be more challenging in what lies ahead of me.

Let's hope for the better and prepare for the worst  :)

I've been into a relationship for as long as three (3) years and I know how hard the feeling is of letting go of that person you really loved this is especially true when that person had made a special mark in your life.

I did my best to look presentable and be myself and it did not work out.

I'm bitter! I know! I'm trying to be honest of how I'm feeling, this will not go away that easily, but will be better - try to undergo a process called acceptance.

But despite all these trials and tribulations that I'm now experiencing, I Am Very Happy that you if you ever have found someone - good luck, I am Happy for You.

I attended the much awaited Davao Bloggers Black and White Christmas Ball 2011 at Metropolis Suites. The night was fun-filled with lots of activities; we had Davao Blogger Blogo-OKE, Quiz Show - we were very competitive we're leading in terms of points, raffles of prizes, exchanging gifts, etc.

First of all I would like to apologize to our faithful readers of the slow posts these days. Right now, I'm quite busy juggling up my new-found job at Pablo Lorenzo National School - the school I'm assigned to render teaching. I've prepared myself for possible assignment of teaching schedules - I'll be handling ICT subjects for secondary high school levels.

It has been barely a week since I got promoted - from a clerical office worker to a professional teacher I have to wake up early and be on school on time, prepare lesson plans, teaching devices, etc. How challenging, I get to meet new teachers, students too....

And, who knows I might find someone here that'll complete the missing piece my heart. Nah! it's just my imagination, wishful thinking.

After weeks, days, months of preparation - summing up my credentials, all the needed demonstration devices required for teaching - from demo lesson plan - did some research, recalling great philosophers of education, ubberly large visual aid printed on tarpaulin, a grilling interview that made me speak all the Elan out from me. I finally made it!

There were around ten (10) of us - teacher applicants with their corresponding courses that applied for a teaching position at Pablo Lorenzo National High School and I made it Top 1 in MAPEH or PEHM.

Giving myself a pat on my back. Congratulations to me!

So here's the question that goes: What is the most significant bloggable event that happened to you in 2010?

The Year 2010 is a banner year for me for some of the many important reasons.

To start with in any order, I have met and made some, few and friends now growing in the blogosphere - To start with, if I can still remember (scanning my memory bank in my head) way back between 2007 and 2008, I first joined the first ever blogging christmas party for bloggers held at Casa Letecia's Coco's Bar.

Attended for the first time the mini WordCamp 2008 and from there I met Lyle Santos a registered part-time nurse and full-time blogger - he's also a mentor too when it comes to blogging, sharing some adsense tips anything that's related to technology, next I also had a pose with Matt Mullenweg founder of WordPress.

Blogging events came into succession, I've been joining blog events like the Google Mapping Party wherein I brushed elbows and met in person the blogosphere's notable blogger Jehzeel Laurente - awestruck (hmm.. apt description for this is StarStruck eh?)  and speechless I jokingly call him an idol!

It's very hard these days getting into the Open Directory Project, I'm glad I was reconsidered. Yay! then Linkworth All Time high earnings together with Adsense came through without a hitch.

Selected page of  this blog like the Google Pagerank Update schedule got as high as Google Pagerank 5, I did not imagine google was some sort selective in ranking pages.

Recently won the much awaited and anticipated blogging event of the year - Philippine Blog Awards in Technology for Mindanao 2010 category tied with Alleba Blog.

Some advertising network/s online and offline offered to have their site/s advertised and listed on mine - additional income for the rainy days.

Group of 10 won P10,000  and were given P1,000 each of  the Hackathon contest using cloud computing platform during DevCon 2010 at Draft Picks.

Earned a certificate of completion on Networking Essentials.

WordCamp 2010 was my biggest event ever, flying from Davao to Manila and getting left behind by an MRT train station - lessons learned - move fast Faust! followed by BlogFest 2010 event in Gensan -  Box Office!

There's a local newspaper hinting  to offer me to be a columnist in their technology section - everything under the sun.

For the month of December 2010 - I consider a blessing was handed down to us. As a government employee, performance bonus of P7,000, an approved 30 days leave credits that was converted and monetize into cash around P14,000 a Christmas Bonus of P10,000,  that they call Pnoy is already in the bank, and upcoming P1,500 coming from the City Government.

So that's much said, the above-mentioned are my significant blogging event for Year 2010.

It's been quite awhile now since I made my very first recap last January 2010. There's been ups and down, high's and low's lately, but still managed to get myself up to blog some important events despite the busy schedule of managing official daytime job and part-time blogging.
To sum it all up here's the October 2010 Recap as follows:

1. WordCamp 2010 - Joined the first ever WordCamp 2010 in Manila.
2. Speed Up Globe Tattoo - Tweaks, fixes on how to speed up internet browsing using Globe Tattoo usb stick.
3. Outsmart Commuting Threats in Manila - Go left behind by the MRT train, good thing I had my mobile phone on hand.
4. Philippine Blog Awards 2010 - Won for the first time in the Technology Category in the much anticipated Philippine Blog Awards event.

Honestly, I haven't got snatched or fall victim to pickpocket yet. Before I came to Manila to attend my first blogging event - I ask some good friends for some advice and share to you my experience as well in any order.

Commutasafe 100 from Pacsafe

1. When at the Airport - Go for taxis operating on a standard flag down rate, some taxis charge exorbitantly and show you the rates later once when you're onboard (big no no) - talk to them in cordial way. When you sense something suspicious disengage from the taxi and get the plate number report it to the LTO or any authorized agency.

2. Make early hotel reservations: When you plan to travel in Manila, checked in to your preferred hotel, pay online the necessary fees if applicable, if you're on a budget you can opt for a dorm type room (with air-conditioning, hot/cold shower, free wi-fi, complimentary breakfast/lunch ticket) with your friends of at least three (3).

3. ) Travel in Groups: Always stick together by group/s, don't break away so you'll don't get lost, carry a mobile phone to make important calls - when I was about to aboard the train on MRT I was left because people were bumping each other, wasn't lucky, the train buzzer gone off, the train's door closed immediately (good thing I had my phone on hand) - it was then my first experience to ride a train on MRT station.

4.) Bring spare cash: Have bills on hand pay on travel necessities/needs.

My mobile phones; since there's no roomy pockets to put them securely - they often land on my front pockets instead - showing the cargo pants look, I have to periodically check from time to time to see if they're still there, I find it such a hassle and gets me paranoid. The laptop bag proves that's it's worth - it's cut and slashproof, with built-in combination locks. Truly a peace of mind one can enjoy Laptop/Netbook, Mobile Phones all in one secure place.

10 lessons learned serving the May 10, 2010 Elections as Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) member.

1. Liquor Ban - If you drink, don't drive, if you drive don't drink. Drink in moderation, never get drunk and overly intoxicated.

2. Sleep Early - Since I'll be serving the election, I have to sleep and wake up early to prepare and check the polling/voting, precinct station I'll be assigned to.

3. Vote early - exercise right to suffrage, have your list of presidentiables, vice, senators, etc. prepared on a piece of paper.

4. Additional Personnel - manpower to handle voter queries,  ie; issuance, releasing of priority numbers, precinct numbers with corresponding names,  technical concerns.

5. Patience - dealing with voter complaints and other issues can be a pain in the head, so relax and take it easy, keep a cool level head.

6. Bring food - packed breakfast, lunch, dinner, food is fuel helps you stay focused and attentive.

7. Sign documents - affixed signature on pertinent papers needed for the release of election returns.

8. Needed Hardware - we were given only one Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) inclusive of modem, we finished closing the voting early by 6:30 pm. unfortunately the hardware didn't work,  there was no transmission of election returns and the said device was transferred from one precinct to another, thus causing much delay. We finished at around 1:00 am.

9. Compensation - prompt and release of payment.

10. Briefing - all personnel involved serving the election must be ready, adapt, anticipate any changes, abide and implement measures for the smooth and harmonious relationship between poll watchers and voters.

PS: During the said election there was no harassments and election related violence. Two thumbs up to the teachers, members, staffs, etc. making the election smooth.

Almost two (2) years of waiting, I finally got myself packed for a summer get away  – My sister from abroad and I chatted and she wanted  some sort of family, friends, sister and brother get together  -  which she planned several months ago.

I have two (2) sets of shoes and it has humbly served me for more than 4 years and now they're all worn-out -  a result of countless days of foot works and abuse, rain and shine got soaked wet in mud puddles and yet it has never complained. I decided to put them to rest and purchase a new one!

I bought this pair of shoes - a Converse All Star size 10, color Deep Blue at Gaisano Mall of Davao and I was then greeted by this cute, pretty and tall cashier "Agnes T. Polinar" I just forgot to get her number because I was in bit a hurry - see you soon!

I wish to have a shoe collection if my purchasing power allows me to. I simply just love shoes! period!

I received a short message service (sms) message coming from Dulce, and plurks ringing up with updates with regards to this awesome health regimen. The badminton packs were complete in the lineups we met at Wheels n' More Drive - J.P. Laurel Ave. Bajada - We had Andrew, Lyle, Brendel, Miah and Chattee joining! Let the Badminton Battle Begin!!!

As usual I began warming up by stretching my arms and legs we played around one (1) and half (1/2) hour/s. I burned around 535 calories according Andrew's post

I remember having this badminton few years back and I'm happy it's been revived again after such a long slumber - I Got Fat!

With this new health regimen I hope I'll make it a health habit on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Playing badminton is indeed fun! - I sweat it out all over, I felt my sweat dripping from my forehead and my shirt soaked wet all over - enough to fill a mug full when wanting to squeeze my shirt out and wring it dry!

It's a healthier me isn't it?

I hope sooner or later those  flabby tummy will be shaven off for good!

I'm dreaming of having an abs that girls will drool for (kidding!)

There’s this song that always and never fails to make my eyes go misty.

This song was played during my father’s wake at Davao Memorial Park and the renowned tenor no is other than “Josh Groban” entitled  “You Raised Me Up.”

I remember giving this John Groban CD as Christmas gift my sister (next to me) who’s proudly now a lawyer, brother now finished college (next to lawyer) – now enjoys playing pc games, youngest sister (next to brother) now a nurse - working abroad.

I’ve been longing to say this before my father passed away:

I could not be here now from where I’m standing, if it weren’t from you – I’ll be somewhere else starving, no place to stay, no education, no shelter to cover my head, no clothes to cover me.

When I was a kid I kept on praying that someday I'll see you and that prayer was answered.

You remembered me back then when I was in Cebu and you took me to your arms and welcomed me to our new home – a bed I can sleep, food on table to feed an empty stomach and nothing else.

It’s pretty normal (some find it disturbing – dysfunctional) to grow up in a family with ups and downs, disappointments, trials, heartaches – especially if you’re from the “outside” I felt alienated, it’s different having a family of your own flesh and blood, siblings of your own. It’s like having a fifty-fifty 50/50 share when you can have is instead a hundred 100, It's good being one whole.

Years had passed these unfortunate events that had happened to me has just made me grow stronger, and from that on – I finished college and later found a stable job.

Things came to an end and we settled our differences – I still visit my mom at the house and spend Christmas and new year with her of course I’ll never forget my brothers and sisters.

Wherever you are my beloved father Anthony P. Principe, MD. MPH I know you are well taken care of in the hands of our Almighty Father we’ll all love you as always.

The Cebu dancing inmates, who first became an online sensation with their rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller," are still moonwalking with the late King of Pop. Jackson's longtime choreographer Travis Payne and dancers Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid paid a visit to the Philippines to teach the inmates routines from "This Is It."

The Cebu Dancing Inmates stormed the internet via youtube with their spectacular dance moves and unequaled uniformed synchronization. I'm in aweness seeing the video.

Finally after ten days (10) of waiting a customer service representative from Prulife UK Davao sent me a sms message that my full check withdrawal is ready.

This full withdrawal came out from my mind when I made a terrible decision. You also read this document that came along with the check for further reading.

Today I deposited the check  under my savings passbook account. Sooner or later I might consider having an Internet Savings Account and try to invest wisely and enjoy life with occasional payday loans.

Finally! My first ever Google Adsense Payout became a reality.

I started experimenting with the Google's Advertising Program for site owners - The Google Adsense last November 2007 and now you can imagine it took me about two years to earn this one.  To tell you about this brief  Google Adsense Program - It help site owners maximize revenue potential with contextual targeted ads, customize ads to complement the look and style of your site (meaning you'll have to tweak different ad sections and its color and see to it not be seen or recognized as an ad-displays)

Google Adsense program has this different ad  formats and locations wherein you can track on which sections performs the most legitimate clicks (so clicking your own ads would be considered a disaster! and fraud to google's eyes and google will ban you for that! play safe, sorry later)

You'll also have to consider the possible keywords you'll be using especially the high paying ones.

In summary I've earned around $102.52 Dollars that's around P4,715.92 in Philippine Pesos, pain thru Western Union Money Transfer Dollar rates that time was 1 dollar to P46.00 if I'm not mistaken.

I made a serious, terrible and unfortunate decision in my life!

I have decided to withdraw all of my remaining funds and hereby terminating my insurance policy contract that I have been religiously paying for four (4 ½ ) a half years. The good news is: I can withdraw my funds. The bad news: I’ll be getting half of the amount I have invested that is Php 52,000.00 now it is Php 26,000.00 (it’s a big loss!) in check payment, according to the insurance agent I called earlier.

The PRU Life UK insurance that I have applied for belongs to the Life and Health Bracket, wherein I am covered with basic sum over P500.000.00 Pesos ready just  in case I get sick or something less unfortunate caused by unforeseen events ever happen. Payments are done semi-annual this means I pay P6,000.00 Pesos on the first month of the year on January and on the sixth by June or July (payment schedule for these months or days may be moved depending when you pay in advance.)

An Insurance is indeed a good investment to some individuals and entities,

You are covered and ensured of health and accident benefits that you can withdraw any amount of your choice anytime when you reach a certain maturity period of your contract lets say 8-10 years maturity? while others find a nightmare “The money invested suddenly went down to drain for some reasons like – company went bankrupted, none payment or delays can cause possible forfeiture of benefits and other awful stories and customer testimonials.

Now, most of you might be thinking why  did I do it, or make such a move? here are my enumerated answers (I know some of you may not agree with me -  so please don’t make an argument or harsh criticisms..)

• I don’t want to keep on worrying on the semi-annual payments which I have to settle, so on so forth.. (money figures are circling around my head.. I see dead figures..)
• Thirty percent (30%) of my salary savings that I set aside goes to the bank are used to pay up my insurance, in short - there’s nothing left in my bank savings, plus other basic and emergency needs.
• I have moved to a new home which belongs to my aunt in which I’m temporarily managing and staying (Honestly, I’m an white collar office employee by day and a caretaker by night when I come home from work), so it’s 2-3 rides away from my work.

Anyways, good friend advised me to deposit money it right away to a bank. Good luck to me!

Year 2009 was perhaps a fruitful experience filled with high and lows, pain and frustrations, losses and profits, a little of gains, nevertheless it was a starting point for me to do better in the coming months as 2010 approaches. This year 2010 will be lots surprises, hopefully more beans to spill!  I'm not expecting something grandeur to come, or at least expect the unexpected to come.
I would like to share some of the greatest highlights as follows;

Lows (needs some recharging eh!)

• Took me two (2) years to earn my first Adsense payouts, because I was experimenting too much on ad placements of hoping earning more! without learning first the basic! duh!
• Earning slumped rock bottom!
• Did not have to time managing some of the domains I purchased, so I left it parked if not temporarily closed.
• Had some debts, unneccessary spending  because I was a sucker on managing my finances.
• Short of cash, only P20.00 in my wallet, enough for paying my fare.
• Always getting starved, morning breakfast either late, or skipped.
• My bedroom is disorganized.
• Some say I getting fat, needs exercise.
• Lots of food intake.
• Smoking and drinking bad for health.
• Failed relationship, can't make up with the girl I love, there's a lot fish in the sea but nothing seems to land on my fishing net.
• Not getting traffic for my sites.
• Need to get contributors to manage some of my potential and promising sites.
• Some of the websites I'm managing was either hacked, and injected by spam links into the index, and not related to our site.  Something's wrong with the security of the web hosts.
• Need to try some ad networks in increasing blog earnings.
• Delays in the payment of text link placements.
• Need to find clients planning to have websites developed and hosted.
• Net home take pay is low.

Highs (battery seems full! charged ahead!)

• Earned my first Adsense payout around $100.00 dollar
• Got some offers from the biggest ad networks coming from Text Link Ads and Linkworth.
• Adsense is around $31.00 to date.
• Getting payments from text link ad placements.
• Conducted my first ever seminar workshop on video editing.
• Attended photojournalism seminar conducted by Joji Alcantara organized by Avatar Media.
• Attended Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 (MBS3) In Cagayan de Oro City.
• Developed our school website.
• Listed and a contributor in the first ever Blog Directory of Davao City.
• Got a fan page for my tech blog.

• Attended and participated in our school Christmas party and performed a dance number (sheesh!)

I was invited by a fellow colleague to teach and share some knowledge what I know about video editing. WCPG4EH7VAW9

The first and second day was conducted last December 4-5, 2009, the training was all about Graphics Layouting & Photo Editing using Adobe Photoshop, third and fourth day December 6-7, 2009,  Developing website using open source content management system - Joomla, uploading, posting of contents, and December 8, 2009, Video Editing - conducted by yours truly.

As usual, arrived early, just skipped the technical jargon, did a little presentation and went hands-on. The participants were given installation cd's on video editing, I gave them a run through, step-by-step process on installing the said software. There was some technical concerns, I know it is inevitable, but  the good thing about it was, I was ready and able to help quickly as possible, there was one on one, person to person interaction, solution for every concern that they have. Shared with them quick tips, how to's, and recommended solutions, they found it very convenient!

Now the exciting part, participants converted their pictures and videos for uploading on third party services like picasaweb and youtube, they applied the codes for pasting on their website. Done!

The most rewarding experience that I gained from the seminar workshop was that the Schools Division Superintendent gave me an all smile commendation for the good work, it was not my work, but the work of all, I was able to network and collaborate with them in a simple way.
