Globe Launches iPhone 4 to the Philippines

By Faust Principe September 24, 2010

Manila, Philippines – September 24, 2010 – Globe Telecom announced it will launch iPhone 4 in the Philippines today, September 24, with a range of Globe customizable plans designed for iPhone customers.

iPhone 4 features FaceTime, which makes the dream of video calling a reality, and Apple’s stunning new Retina display, the highest resolution display ever built into a phone, resulting in super crisp text, images and video. iPhone 4 also features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, HD video recording, Apple’s A4 processor, a 3-axis gyro and up to 40 percent longer talk time—in a beautiful all-new design of glass and stainless steel that is the thinnest smartphone in the world. iPhone 4 comes with iOS 4, the newest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, which includes over 100 new features. The revolutionary App Store provides access to more than 205,000 apps including the new iMovie app built just for iPhone 4.

“Customers will enjoy a superior mobile experience with iPhone 4 on Globe’s high-quality network and wide array of fully customizable plans,” said Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu.

Globe Consumer business head Peter Bithos added, “We are very excited to deliver iPhone 4 to Globe customers. Our customers want the best in innovation and personalization and we are delivering that with the revolutionary iPhone 4.”

Beginning September 24, customers can experience iPhone 4 through booths at Metro Manila malls Greenbelt and Glorietta. Globe will also host an exclusive launch event on September 26, 2010 to be held at the Makati Shangri-la and New World Hotels in Metro Manila for the first customers who registered online at the Globe website. Invited customers can expect a call, text message or email from Globe, to let them know what time they can claim their iPhone 4 at the above venues.
