Speedtest Sun Broadband Internet right now fast
Speedtest is a norm and I just unboxed a Sun Broadband Internet Wireless Prepaid USB Dongle Kit with SIM included, given by a representative of Sun Cellular Network courtesy of James Lim. He is a Senior Manager for Digital Marketing, I would like to personally thank you.
So far I’ve been running these tests lately. I’ve conducted several internet Speedtest on Sun’s Broadband Internet connection at different locations in Mandug Proper under Buhangin District, Davao City, and somewhere in the city proper. The signal is quite stable and somehow good for browsing no fancies involved.
To test the internet speed test, using any browser of your choice, either; Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera Browser or any browser out there worth mentioning.
On the address bar, type or key-in www.speedtest.net and press enter, then proceed mousing over the circle GO below and click to start testing. If you don’t prefer the web based testing, you can go to the Google Play Store for Android and Apple App Store to download.
You need to be connected to the Sun Broadband USB Stick in order to perform these operations, or better yet setup and configure your USB stick for you to teeter and share it’s internet connection over the Local Area Network.
Here’s the Speedtest flow and Sun Broadband Internet process and steps:
- USB Broadband Stick (Sun Cellular), jacked-in to a USB-port of any nearby desktop computer connected on a local network.
- Install Software on the computer and follow all on-screen instructions, if you’re having difficulty, you can refer with a small documentation manual that came along with it, if all things fail, go directly to their support site on the web.
- Tweak and Surf, This somehow may require some degree of technical know-how, follow instructions on No. 3 above, step by step, it will surely work!
Here’s the screen grab:
This was taken at around 12:00 AM considering it’s almost a wee hour in the morning? on March 29, 2012.
And 8:00 pm at D. Ponce cor. Suazo St., Davao City, at the city proper.
The USB dongle kit is a Huawei Mobile Broadband E153u-1 (SBW 995) an upgrade version right after owns mobile stick Huawei E1552 of Globe Tattoo. It also comes with a prepaid card worth of Php 100 Pesos, and it includes free unlimited internet good for three days and a handy give-away pouch too!
Check out the dashboard software as you begin to use it.
It’s good to note that Sun Broadband Wireless supports HSDPA and is improving cellular and broadband signals throughout Mindanao.
Disclaimer:
I’ve been a regular Sun Cellular user both for Call and Text Unlimited or CTU 50 for quite some time. It includes one 1-week unlimited text for one 1 week and 1-hour free call. Since most of my usage involves only texting or SMS. Aside from its affordable prepaid and postpaid plans, I love their service! and is great! The network quietly informs you a day before your prepaid balance runs out. Thankfully you can reload it anytime of the day at nearby convenience stores.
This is not a paid post. The usb dongle unit is given for free with no strings attached.

My netbook is slow that’s why, or maybe I haven’t updated the flash player files in google chrome browser.. hehehe

Are you using the new kit?
Kevin Paquet says
Yup. I’m on the new kit. I shared the connection from the kit (via my Macbook Pro) and made it a Wifi hotspot here at home, even my iPod touch is getting 1.5MB 😀
