DITO SIM 5G has finally arrived on Philippine shores!
But this does not mean 4G devices, unlisted phones whether it’s compatible or not can’t avail of these services, I believe with the arrival of the Third (3rd) Telco Player things will level the playing field, in terms of the competition it will bring better opportunities and improved services.
In addition, 5G towers may bring backward compatibility on 4G phones or later, whichever is the case.
Enter DITO SIM, which was launched last March 8, 2021, in select areas in Cebu and Davao. Social Media trends, potential customers, and clients buzzing the web on the sim reservation found out DITO SIM cards only work best on VoLTE (Voice over LTE) capable handsets.

The DITO SIM card only works with select DITO compatible VoLTE mobile phones as DITO uses next-generation technology. In order to fully maximize the DITO experience, we recommend using only compatible mobile phones.
DITO SIM APN Settings
If your smartphone is not on the list worry no more. Here’s a quick workaround, minor tweaks to get your device ready:
- Edit your APN settings
- Turn on VoLTE on your handset.
- Go to Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data > Turn on 4G or 5G > Turn on VoLTE calls
- Tap Access Point Names (APNs) > Tap the 3-button navigation and select New APN
- NAME: Dito Telecom
- APN: ctnet
- USERNAME: [email protected]
- PASSWORD: vnet.mobi
- Save and restart your phone for settings to take effect.
In my case having a Redmi Note 8 on hand may require a bit of tweaking, and technical background experience.
- You can simply dial *#*#4636#*#*
- Choose Phone information.
- Click ” Phone Information” and Toggle VOLTE Provisioned.
- Restart your mobile phone and you then are done.

- Change or modify Mobile Operator MMSC APN, Multimedia Messaging Service MMS & Settings, such as URL, Ports, Protocols, etc.

How to set up your DITO sim card on your phone if this isn’t on the compatible device listed.
1st. bili muna kayo ng DITO sim card sa: Lazada, Shopee, or sa mismong website ng DITO. 199 lang
2nd. ikabit ang sim at pumunta sa sim settings at hanapin mo ang APN set sayong device at mag add ng new APN ( click add APN )
3rd. ilagay ang apn name: DITO
ilagay ang apn address: internet.dito.ph or tesla.dito.ph
ilagay ang server: dito.ph
ilagay sa apn type: default
after mailagay lahat, i save na ang ginawang apn at i open ang data
note: i guess working naman ang DITO sim sa lahat ng may apn set na device, kaya try nyo lang solid tong sim nato promise. supported nadin ang luzon ng DITO sim, you can check it saang location ka na supported nila here www.dito.ph

Visit the Android link and download the DITO App.
The DITO App link/URL can be found in your confirmation email and welcome text greets you upon a successful purchase of your first-ever DITO SIM.
Download immediately so you can manage your account, check your balance, and monitor your data usage, calls, texts, purchase load, and other exclusive promo packages.
You can download the DITO App via the link indicated in the welcome text and email you will receive upon SIM activation.
Once done with the download, you can now proceed with the app installation by simply clicking the “Install” option After completing the installation process, you just need to click the DITO icon from your home screen and launch the app.

Sir, My VoLte is enabled in settings but it’s not showing on my phone it’s just say 4G, yesterday it was showing Volte 4g, but it suddenly disappeared. Any Ideas?

Your phone is compatible with dito sim according to their list of compatible phones under the Huawei drop-down tab, give them a heads-up regarding your concern here.

I’ve heard sources from friends using dito sim, they said volte is enabled only on 5G devices.

Kindly refer to the unit’s outlet from where you bought it. Some phones are locked to their own network.

Hi! You mean using both altogether? most android devices can be shared as a hotspot via USB tethering or activating wireless hotspot if your phone is using mobile data.

FastNet APN worked for my SAMSUNG S9 PLUS device but still can’t make calls atlho sms is working. My device is not in the of DITO’s compatible devices but atleast now i can use it for data.
