Speeding Up SmartBro Plug-It

After sharing with you an insightful troubleshooting issue with SmartBro Plug-It on a Windows 7 Environment and somehow you get annoyed that your internet connection is quite – uhmm.. relatively slow….
There’s a quick-fix for that to considerably enjoy speeds ranging from 2.0 – 3.6 mbps in hdpa mode [some experienced users say the signal is location based, the nearer the network tower the better]

This  tweak works with the earlier SmartBro Plug-It HSDPA modem ZTE MF627 version/model which located under the usb stick, make sure you’ve upgraded the usb sticks firmware and software to enjoy some of its features and benefits (this includes new dashboard software, etc.) downloads are found here.

Follow these simple steps:

1. Go to your Smart Bro Dashboard.

2. Click and set on the 1. Settings tab, 2. Network Settings, 3. Band Settings – W850M, 4. Only 3G, and 5. Apply

3. After applying the setting go back to the Internet icon.

4. Click Connect.

5. Once connected you’ll see a HSDPA network mode.

Congratulations!
