This is a true story based on my humble experiences when I was a kid back then.
Since I was the eldest among my siblings it was my responsibility to take care of all household chores – delegating the work to my young sibling helps! One would truly say I’m a kind of a working horse doing all of the hard work, but I’m not complaining at all! This was the life I’ve all been through including the hardships and struggles growing up.
Then, my love for cooking came in while observing my mom’s home-cooked meals, watching neighbors prepping food for occasions and family get-togethers.
Where to find Culinary Schools
I remember, and until now it still lingers in my mind my first culinary experience – We had nothing to eat, and all I noticed is a banana tree nearby standing – out of curiosity and craziness to invent something new pop-up out from my mind! – I cut the banana stem down and chopped it into fine pieces which I did by the way and toss it up in a frying pan, add up seasonings and soy sauce and here we go! – it turned out edible somehow and it served as our lunch – a reminder of how less unfortunate I was back then struggling with life, finding ways to put food on the table.
Pastry Chef Types to Choose
Life was getting better, my quality of life improved, later, I enrolled myself in Bread and Pastry Production to bring things up to a higher level, which lead me to earn a National Level Certification Level 2 from TESDA and pass the hands-on demonstration with flying colors, this is based in the Philippines, you can also try other culinary schools mentioned above too.

Then later bad news truck us all over the world – COVID-19 shut all businesses down and the restaurant industry suffered and worst lost their jobs. These workers are paid below minimum wage, and to make ends meet they rely on tips to keep things going while making a living. To have a broad look at how tips work we have a tipping calculator on how much you should charge and it’s our gratitude for saying thank you for their great service.
If you think cooking is difficult for someone like you? Think again! actually, it’s not. Opinionated folks or those served a bad hand while they were young, while other folks from the other side of the wall would comment saying you must have talent! – But I beg to disagree!
To cook a perfect dish – but not that perfect, it has to come from the heart! – no other way to put it in other words, one must at all times embrace and accept who you are by knowing your strengths and weakness, setting them aside, putting love in the ingredients that you cook and the rest will follow without you knowing. – to wrap it up, be humble, smart, and learn from the best chef.
